It looks like something has gone wrong with July’s PlayStation Plus games.
The headline games this month are the Heavy Rain remaster and Absolver. The latter downloads fine, but you might be having issues with the Quantic Dream game.
Back in May, Sony gave away another Quantic Dream game, Beyond: Two Souls. If you downloaded that at the time, you’re probably getting an error message when you try to grab Heavy Rain.
The message says: “You are not able to download this product for the following reason(s): you already own Beyond: Two Souls.”
Here’s someone on Twitter asking Sony for help:

There are loads of other people having the same issue and it doesn’t seem to be limited to the PlayStation App.
We’ve asked Sony for comment, but I have a theory as to what is happening. There is a version of Heavy Rain that comes bundled with Beyond: Two Souls. I think Sony accidentally put that version up instead of the standalone, so it’s conflicting.
We’ll update you if we hear back.
Update: Some people are reporting being able to download it from the web store, so it only seems to be affecting a portion of players for whatever reason. Sony says it has fixed the console download:
Hi! Try making the purchase on a console and it should work. Oopsie fixed
